Ceremonies

The picture is of a baby's naming day ceremony and first birthday. A man in a blue shirt and jeans places his hand softly on a woman's back - she is his partner. The woman is wearing a red dress with white spots. She is holding their daughter who is wearing white tights and a golden dress. She is holding a bronze foiled paper cup and has a dummy in her mouth. The baby and her parents are both focusd on Sarah Humanist celebrant who is reading some words from her folder. Sarah is smiling at the baby. She is wearing a tartan dress in red and blue.

As far back as human history goes, we have been connecting with others through ceremonies. They are a way to come together to mark cultural, transitional and transformative events in our lives, and in nature.

Each one is individual, with it's own meaning and style. Yet, with the concept of ceremony being universal and enduring, we are also all linked through time and across the globe. Pretty amazing!

Every ceremony I conduct is crafted with you and your loved one's lives and stories at their heart, ensuring a unique and individual experience that reflects your personalities, traditions, values and beliefs.

Whatever  you are marking, I promise to keep you and your loved ones at the centre. I am here to listen to you and to support you, offering ideas and guidance when you need it and linking with key folk involved to help your ceremony run smoothly. I will be a steady, safe pair of hands throughout.

Two women hand in hand are smiling as they walk back down the aisle on their wedding day. Confetti is in the air around them. One woman is wearing a red suit and the other is wearing a navy suit. They both have simple necklaces on and a daisy pin on their lapels. Their family are looking on smiling and clapping. In the background is a flower arch with foliage and flowers of pink, purple, red, yellow and white.

Testimonials

As soon as we met Sarah, we both knew she was the right celebrant for us. Sarah was very welcoming, friendly, warm and made us feel at ease immediately. She was extremely helpful and supportive with us during the planning of our special day and very understanding and accommodating when we had to change the date twice due to the covid pandemic.

When our special day arrived, Sarah made it really special and put both of us at ease. The ceremony was just perfect with a mixture of fun, laughter and love. Sarah captured our love story and our love for each other with many of our guests commenting how lovely the ceremony was.

We both would fully recommend Sarah if you are looking for a genuine, friendly, caring celebrant.
